Shipping policy
Order Processing
Apex Parts Hunters aims to process orders as quickly as possible. Orders for stocked items are generally processed within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Processing times may vary during busy periods, supplier delays, public holidays, or where additional order verification is required.
Stocked Items
Items shown as in stock are generally available for dispatch from our current inventory. While we make every effort to keep stock levels accurate, occasional stock discrepancies may occur. If an item is unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact you with an update and discuss the available options.
Special Order Items
Some parts may need to be ordered from local or international suppliers. These items are considered special order items and may be subject to supplier availability, freight schedules, customs processing and other delays outside our direct control.
Estimated lead times for special order items are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed in writing.
Shipping Methods
Orders may be shipped using Australia Post, courier services or other freight providers depending on the item size, weight, destination and service availability.
The most suitable shipping method will be selected based on the order and delivery location.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout where available. For some bulky, heavy, oversized, restricted or special-order items, shipping may need to be quoted manually.
If additional freight charges apply, we will contact you before dispatch.
Delivery Times
Delivery times vary depending on the destination, carrier and shipping service selected. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only.
Apex Parts Hunters is not responsible for carrier delays once an order has been dispatched, but we will assist where possible if a delivery issue occurs. Under Australian Consumer Law, businesses must provide a solution if they cannot supply goods on time or within a reasonable time.
Incorrect Delivery Details
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details at checkout. Apex Parts Hunters is not responsible for delays, lost parcels or additional freight charges caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.
If an order is returned to us due to incorrect delivery details, failed delivery attempts or non-collection, additional freight charges may apply to resend the order.
Authority to Leave
Where authority to leave is selected or requested, the customer accepts responsibility for the parcel once it has been delivered to the nominated address.
Apex Parts Hunters is not responsible for theft, loss or damage after a parcel has been marked as delivered by the carrier.
Damaged Items in Transit
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If an item arrives damaged, contact Apex Parts Hunters as soon as possible with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damaged item
- Photos of the packaging
- A description of the issue
Please do not discard the item or packaging until the claim has been reviewed, as the carrier or supplier may require evidence for assessment.
Lost or Missing Parcels
If your tracking shows that an order has been delayed, lost or delivered but not received, please contact us so we can assist with a carrier enquiry.
Carrier investigations can take time, and outcomes are subject to the carrier’s assessment process.
Bulky, Heavy or Oversized Items
Some automotive parts may be bulky, heavy or difficult to ship through standard parcel networks. These items may require manual freight quoting, depot collection or business-address delivery.
Additional charges may apply for residential delivery, tailgate delivery, redelivery, remote areas or oversized freight.
Dangerous, Restricted or Prohibited Goods
Some automotive products may be restricted or unable to be shipped through certain carriers, particularly items such as fluids, aerosols, batteries, chemicals or dangerous goods. Australia Post notes that prohibited and restricted goods are subject to specific conditions and packaging requirements.
If an item cannot be shipped through the selected method, we will contact you to discuss available options.
International Shipping
Apex Parts Hunters primarily ships within Australia. International shipping may be available on request for selected items only.
International customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges or local fees payable in their country.
Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available by prior arrangement only. Customers will be contacted when their order is ready for collection.
Orders must not be collected until confirmation has been provided.
Split Shipments
Where an order contains multiple items, Apex Parts Hunters may dispatch items separately depending on stock availability, supplier lead times, item size or freight requirements.
Changes to Shipping Policy
Apex Parts Hunters may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. The policy that applies to an order is the version available at the time the order is placed.
